Jewelry that keeps its colour.
Amour is a small jewelry shop in Ho Chi Minh City. We sell bracelets, necklaces and rings in stainless steel, vacuum-plated in 18K gold or silver. Plating is where most affordable jewelry gives up, so it is the part we spend on.
How we work
How a piece is made.
The base is stainless steel — titanium steel, the same family used for watch cases — so the piece underneath will not rust or bend out of shape. Then it goes into a vacuum chamber, where 18K gold or silver is drawn into the alloy molecule by molecule rather than laid over the top. That is the difference between a finish that holds and one that goes patchy at the edges within a season.
The pieces are produced in Guangdong, China, to our specification, and each one carries the Amour name. Designs are stocked in small numbers. When one sells out it usually returns, but not always.
Three things we hold to.
They decide what we put on the shelf, and just as often what we leave off it.
Say what it is
Material, plating and origin are printed on every product page. Steel plated in gold is not solid gold, and we say so.
The finish before the flourish
Vacuum plating costs more than dipping. It is the step that decides whether you still like the piece a year from now.
Priced to be given
Everything sits between 286.000 ₫ and 599.000 ₫, boxed. The point is that someone receives it, not that it looks expensive.
